Retrofête, cofounded by Ohad Seroya and Aviad Klin, staged its first ever runway show on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m, located at Center415. Built on the theme of desert mirage, Ohad and Aviad bridged a collection of over-the-top ready-to-wear with a modern edge with their latest collection.
From dawn-to-dusk and into the night, Retrofête Spring 2024 explores a desert mirage with its NYFW runway debut. Earth’s natural elements collide with tropical palm motifs, bold snakeskin textures, and glittering sand tones. Experience a euphoric awakening of the senses where a collection of over-the-top ready-to-wear combines with a modern edge—transforming the brand’s state-of-mind into reality.
“Retrofête has guided me as a designer, each new season pushing me further in my creative career,” says Ohad Seroya, Creative Director of Retrofête. “To celebrate our 5-year anniversary, I unveil my most vulnerable self yet. Spring 2024 encapsulates my childhood memories, worldly travels, and late nights spent at fêtes along the way. Each look tells a story of my life—from the dusty palm desert to listening to world famous DJ, Offer Nissim—I am transported to an emotional memoir of my past. Our signature black tie and festive styling is complemented by a launch into footwear and expansion of accessories—I welcome you to the party.”
Sexy sophistication and a grunge revival defines a new era for Retrofête. A seamless extension of the life-of-the-party aesthetic, each look is completed by the label’s latest accessory offering. This Spring/Summer season, the brand is debuting footwear for the first time, including over-exaggerated pointed pumps, mules, and slingbacks crafted in delicate Italian leather, available in a kaleidoscope of metallic colorways. This 8-piece capsule collection will range from $498-1598.
Alongside the SS24 collection, Retrofête is collaborating with CHRISHABANA on a 5-piece selection of avant-garde eyewear ranging in price from $345-$495, and is partnering with Israeli jewelry designer, Keren Wolf on a capsule collection of jewelry ranging from $145-$495.
