The 44th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards were held on February 4, 2024. Jonathan Glazer’s “The Zone of Interest” won the Film of the Year award, and Andrew Haigh’s “All of Us Strangers” was named British/Irish Film of the Year. Celine Song’s “Past Lives” was named foreign-language film of the year, and Miyazaki Hayao’s “The Boy and the Heron” won the new animated film award. Emma Stone was honored as actress of the year for her work in “Poor Things,” and Andrew Scott picked up the actor of the year award for his role in “All of Us Strangers”. The awards are given by the 210-member Film Section of the Critics’ Circle, the UK’s longest-standing and most prestigious critics’ organization.
