Melissa Benoist, the acclaimed actress known for her role as Supergirl, recently opened up about the joys and challenges of parenting her 3-year-old child. In a candid interview, Benoist recounted some of the “crazy things” her young son says, as well as the unique experience of living in a “haunted chocolate factory”.
Benoist revealed that her son has an active imagination and often comes up with amusing, unexpected statements. “The other day, he told me that his stuffed animal was ‘a little bit hungry, but a lot thirsty,'” Benoist shared, chuckling. “You just never know what’s going to come out of his mouth.”
The actress also discussed the unique living situation her family finds themselves in – residing in a former chocolate factory that is rumored to be haunted. “There are definitely some strange noises and unexplained occurrences in this place,” Benoist said. “My son is convinced that there are ghosts, and he’s always asking me if I’ve seen any ‘spooky friends’ around the house.”
Despite the occasional supernatural sightings, Benoist expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to raise her child in such a unique and whimsical environment. “It’s certainly not a typical family home, but I love that my son gets to grow up in a place with so much character and history,” she said.
As Benoist continues to balance her successful acting career with the joys and challenges of parenthood, one can’t help but wonder – what other hilarious anecdotes and ghostly encounters might she have in store?
