For the ELLE USA photoshoot by Myles Hendrik, Maude Apatow wore a sculptural black bubble-hem dress for the Euphoria Season 3 premiere, April 2026, and the collar pins deserve a close look.
That bubble hem. Immediate yes.
For the photoshoot with Myles Hendrik for ELLE USA tied to the Euphoria Season 3 Premiere in April 2026, Maude Apatow shows up in a black dress that’s all structure, no fuss. And the flash-lit hallway setup makes it feel like you’ve walked in on a real moment, not a perfectly airbrushed set (which, honestly, is half the charm).
The bodice is doing the most interesting work: a fitted, corset-like panel with visible seam lines and a clean, square-ish neckline. But the collar is what I can’t stop staring at. It’s a wide, scarf-shaped halter with tiny moon-and-star pins on one side, and that small detail shifts the whole thing from “simple black dress” into full editorial territory. A huge satin sash wraps the waist and drapes down the skirt, which adds drama without turning it into costume.
But the skirt is the point. It’s a rounded, balloon silhouette with a gathered hem, and it feels very intentional in a way that a straight skirt wouldn’t. When did the bubble hem get this good again?
She finishes with strappy black sandals and a sharper, slightly matte lip. And I might be wrong, but the whole styling feels like a nod to old-school party dressing, just edited for 2026.
If you’ve been clicking through popular celebrities lately, you’ve probably noticed how many looks are leaning on one standout construction detail instead of loud accessories. Maude Apatow in black dress is a clean example of that.
Would you keep the bubble hem, or swap it for a straight skirt?

Miss Apatow looks breathtaking in this gorgeous, pitch-black Céline dress! This look is cool, sexy, and playfully girlish at once! She is a master of cuteness (and a devoted “cat mom”), while she’s so flawlessly elegant and strikingly beautiful! I particularly love her sandals, which look a bit old school, yet perfectly fit into this ensemble. I know that Maude hires stylists, still, her appearance is always top notch. No hype, no mistakes, just effortless exquisiteness, which is reflecting Miss Apatow’s wonderful self! I just stare and admire her confident public appearances as she wears these exclusive garments with self-evident naturalness, because the most expensive clothes can be ridiculous in effect, if not worn properly.

And to answer the question (at the end of the article): I would keep the bubble hem, because it is simply perfect for this look, yet an interesting idea: a straight (and shorter) skirt to the tight bodice. I would be so happy if I could be present when Miss Apatow, with the help of her team, tries on some different styles for an occasion! ;)
