Funke is a new Beverly Hills restaurant that showcases old-school pasta shapes and cooking techniques that chef Evan Funke learned in Italy. The restaurant is housed in a three-story Art Deco building that was built in the 1930s and offers a well-appointed interior with soft, warm shades of pink, green, and gray, light wood, and marble. Funke’s menu includes a variety of bespoke pasta dishes and seasonal vegetable antipasti, along with Neapolitan-style pizzas and dishes inspired by Funke’s travels in Italy.
The restaurant also features a rooftop bar, Bar Funke, with panoramic views of gorgeous architecture and swaying palm trees. Funke’s pasta maestro, Evan Funke, is known for his expertise in handmade pasta and the restaurant’s pasta laboratorio is a conduit between the pasta maker and guest. Funke’s menu includes 12 pasta dishes, each made with high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques.
The restaurant is a culmination of more than 20 years of Funke’s career, including six years at Spago Beverly Hills. Funke’s interior design has a very clean, Italian, contemporary feel, with artwork from prominent artists and photographers lining the walls. The restaurant is located at 9388 South Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California.
