Vanessa Kirby’s red carpet evolution took a bold leap tonight at the BFI IMAX Waterloo, where she arrived for the UK launch of The Fantastic Four: First Steps in a look that felt more like a cinematic gesture than a fashion choice. Jonathan Anderson’s final Loewe collection—presented not on a runway but in a still-life installation at Hôtel de Maisons—was a scrapbook of sculptural ideas. Kirby’s pick, a knee-length aqua dress composed of beaded strands, moved like a vortex. It was theatrical, yes, but also deeply intentional. The color mirrored the film’s palette, while the silhouette—voluminous and kinetic—invoked the elemental force of her character.

And then there’s the subtext. Kirby, who confirmed her pregnancy at CXPMX Film Festival in May, chose a dress that danced around the bump without spotlighting it. It’s a clever nod to the Invisible Woman—concealment as power, not erasure. The look reads as both maternal and mythic.

Accessories were kept minimal, letting the dress speak. Silver sandals grounded the look, while Cartier’s Reflection De Cartier rings and earrings added a glint of geometry. The Geometrie & Contrastes bracelet—white and yellow gold, onyx, and nearly 10 carats of diamonds—echoed the dress’s rhythm without competing for attention.
