Taraji P. Henson
Taraji P. Henson is an American actress and singer, born on September 11, 1970, in Washington, D.C. She is best known for her role as Loretha "Cookie" Lyon in the TV series Empire (2015–20).
Henson studied acting at Howard University and began her Hollywood career with guest roles on several television shows. She has appeared in a variety of films, including Hustle & Flow (2005), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Hidden Figures (2016), and What Men Want (2019). Henson received an Academy Award nomination for her role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She has also been recognized with a Golden Globe for her performance in Empire.
Henson is known for playing strong female characters and has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry as an African-American actress. She is also a mother and has been involved in various philanthropic and advocacy efforts.
