Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev, born Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva on January 9, 1989, in Sofia, Bulgaria, is a celebrated actress best known for her role in the hit television series "The Vampire Diaries." Her family immigrated to Canada when she was two, and she grew up in Toronto, where she developed a passion for the arts. Dobrev attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts and later studied sociology at Ryerson University before pursuing acting full-time.
Dobrev's breakout role came in 2009 when she was cast as Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries," a role she played until 2015. Her performance earned her multiple Teen Choice Awards and People's Choice Awards. Beyond her vampire fame, Dobrev has showcased her versatility in various films, including "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" (2012) and "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" (2017).
In recent years, Dobrev has expanded her career into producing, co-founding the production company "Fresh Vine Wine" with her friend and actress Julianne Hough.
