The 2024 CMT Music Awards took place on April 7, 2024, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Kelsea Ballerini hosted the event for the fourth consecutive year. The evening featured performances from a variety of artists, including Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt, Trisha Yearwood, and many more. The awards show honored the best in country music, with nominees like Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, and Megan Moroney receiving three nods each.

Ballerini opened the show with a comedic sketch about reading the minds of country music’s biggest stars. The night included a tribute to Toby Keith, featuring performances from Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, Sammy Hagar, and Toby’s longtime band, with special appearances by Lukas Nelson and Roger Clemens.Trisha Yearwood received the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award and also performed during the show.

The event was broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ and Showtime. Tickets were available through The Moody Center website and Ticketmaster. The awards show, which began in 1967, is a fan-voted event.
