Cardi B in Avant-Garde Windowsen Gown at 2024 Met Gala

Cardi B once again made a bold fashion statement at the 2024 Met Gala, this time donning an avant-garde ensemble by the emerging label Windowsen. The rapper, known for her theatrical red carpet looks, deviated from the conventional with this innovative choice.

Windowsen, the brand behind Cardi B’s daring creation, is the brainchild of designer Sensen Lii. Originally from China but now based in Antwerp, Lii has gained recognition for his futuristic, otherworldly designs, including his iconic bug-eye shades and monstrous heels. For Cardi B, Lii conceived a gown that embodied gothic glamour – a black, off-the-shoulder silhouette adorned with copious amounts of tulle and an expansive train.

Cardi B’s Met Gala fashion choices have consistently pushed boundaries and become a tradition in their own right. In 2019, she wore a Thom Browne gown bedecked with 30,000 feathers and 44-carat ruby nipples, while in 2022 she arrived in an ornate Versace column gown and convertible.
