Alicia Vikander Commands the Venice Red Carpet

Never one to shy from a powerful silhouette, Alicia Vikander unveiled an architectural and frankly magnificent Louis Vuitton creation for her return to the Venice Film Festival.

Vikander, a longtime muse for the fashion house, walked the red carpet for her film, The Wizard of The Kremlin, in a custom Louis Vuitton gown that was both statuesque and dynamic. The dress, a deep navy-blue, featured a striking, off-the-shoulder neckline that gave way to voluminous, sculptural sleeves. Made from a silk taffeta, the fabric held its form with a commanding grace, creating a pleated, almost architectural effect at the bust and sleeves. The sleek, body-skimming column silhouette of the dress provided a stunning counterpoint to the dramatic sleeves, flowing elegantly to the floor with a slight train.
