A Graphic Statement
As the jury president for the 18th Angoulême French-Speaking Film Festival, Diane Kruger stepped out for a photocall in a look that was a deliberate departure from typical film festival attire. The actress wore a Del Core Spring 2025 charcoal grey mini dress that channeled a distinct mod sensibility. The cocktail dress featured a rectangular, streamlined shape and a hemline that hit above the knee. Its standout details were the unique, structural straps and sphere appliqués that connected the straps to the bodice of the garment. The dress also included pockets at either hip, adding a casual, cool-girl element.
The look was a bold stylistic choice, with some critics noting that the color was “a bit drab for late August”. However, it undeniably showcased Kruger’s willingness to experiment and resist the expected formalwear for a jury president.
