Sydney Sweeney channels Hollywood elegance in a custom Miu Miu gown at the 2025 Met Gala, paying tribute to Kim Novak’s iconic style.

Sydney Sweeney graced the 2025 Met Gala in a striking Miu Miu gown, a tribute to Hollywood legend Kim Novak. The black sequined dress, featuring a modest train and asymmetric cutout, echoed Novak’s wardrobe in The Legend of Lylah Clare (1967).

Styled by Molly Dickson, Sweeney’s ensemble seamlessly aligned with the event’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, celebrating Black dandyism and menswear. Her look was a nod to her upcoming role in Scandalous, a film directed by Colman Domingo, which explores Novak’s relationship with Sammy Davis Jr.
