Olivia Wilde chose a two-tone gown for The Invite red carpet during the 79th Locarno Film Festival on August 8, 2026. Its impact comes from a decisive change in both color and surface: a glossy black upper section gives way to a pale gray skirt with a softer, fluid fall.
Slim straps frame the plunging neckline, while the triangular bodice ends at a high-set seam beneath the bust. On Olivia Wilde’s two-tone gown, that placement allows the skirt to descend in one long sweep rather than breaking again at the natural waist. The result is elongated without depending on a narrow column shape.
The contrast is emphatic enough for the black section to resemble a separate bralette, yet the curved lower edge keeps it connected to the gown rather than simply layered over it. Loose, center-parted waves and a fine bracelet leave that transition unobstructed.
