A diagonal cutout, gathered waist and sculpted rosettes give Lindsey Vonn's tomato-red Monse gown a clear route from shoulder to hem.
Lindsey Vonn’s red gown is built around one diagonal route. At the TIME100 Sports Gala at Pier 60 in New York City on July 16, 2026, she wore a tomato-red Monse design from the Resort 2027 collection. A sweeping cutout crosses the bodice, while gathered fabric and sculpted floral details direct attention toward the waist.
The asymmetric upper section gives Lindsey Vonn in Monse gala style its distinctive shape. One side remains comparatively clean, while the opposite shoulder carries clustered fabric rosettes and a folded panel. The skin-visible opening curves inward rather than dropping vertically, creating movement before the skirt even begins.
A second floral detail gathers the fabric at the hip. Fine folds radiate outward from that point, controlling the fitted waist and connecting the cutout above to the long skirt below. The two rosette placements act like visual brackets: one starts the diagonal, and the other resolves it.
The lower half is deliberately quieter. The skirt falls in a long, mostly straight line with a narrow front opening that reveals the metallic Aquazzura sandals in motion. Extra volume or heavier decoration would have competed with the complex bodice, so the restrained hem is the right decision.

A compact clutch from The Bella Rosa Collection and jewelry by Leighton Jewels add warm metallic accents without introducing another strong color. The textured updo also leaves the neckline exposed, allowing the dress details to remain fully legible within celebrity red carpet photography.
The color creates the first impression. The diagonal construction is what gives that impression staying power.
