Erin Cahill – San Diego Comic-Con: Floral Flourish & Frills

Cahill chose a midi-length dress that was an explosion of romantic, full-bloom florals against a dark, likely black, background. The print featured large, lush roses and other blossoms in rich hues of pink, yellow, red, and white, with verdant green foliage—a veritable garden on fabric. But it wasn’t just the print that caught the eye; it was the silhouette. The dress boasted an off-the-shoulder neckline, which immediately brings to mind a certain flirtatious elegance. The sleeves, short and voluminous, were adorned with ruffles or layers of fabric, adding a playful, almost theatrical, flourish. This exaggerated sleeve detail, combined with the deep V-neckline (which was artfully secured, thankfully!), created a dynamic and visually interesting upper half.
