Emily Ratajkowski combines an oversized brown jacket, waist-tied plaid and ecru denim in a New York campaign look shaped by deliberate layering.
Emily Ratajkowski fronts Abercrombie & Fitch’s Denim Made Iconic Fall 2026 campaign, launched on July 30, 2026, in a New York street look that places a substantial brown jacket over lighter, looser layers. The visual argument depends on weight: dark outerwear above, pale denim below and plaid connecting the two.
The oversized jacket gives Emily Ratajkowski in urban Abercrombie campaign style its dominant shape. A high collar, broad sleeves and large welt pockets create a protective upper volume, while the distressed brown surface keeps the piece from appearing too polished for the street-cart setting.
A blue-and-yellow plaid shirt tied around the waist performs an unusually important supporting role. It breaks the dark jacket away from the cream jeans, introduces pattern at the center and adds movement through its hanging panels. Worn conventionally, it would have competed with the outerwear; displaced to the waist, it becomes a transition rather than another top layer.
The ecru wide-leg jeans soften the lower half and prevent the outfit from becoming a continuous field of brown. Their relaxed line ends above pointed tan boots, which extend the warm palette without matching the jacket too precisely.

Photographed by Cass Bird across New York City, this celebrity fashion campaign uses familiar street fixtures as part of the styling logic. The metal food cart, printed menus and faded umbrella reinforce the jacket’s worn-in character rather than functioning as neutral scenery.
The outfit lands because each layer has a different task: the jacket supplies scale, the plaid controls the transition and the pale denim releases the weight.
