Inside the Raising Canes suite at F1 Miami Grand Prix qualifying on May 2, 2026, Dixie DAmelio wore a red halter crop top and denim mini – and the hat is the debate.
Cowgirl core – but pushed.
At the Raising Canes suite during F1 Miami Grand Prix qualifying on May 2, 2026, Dixie DAmelio leaned hard into a Western-coded street style look. Red halter crop top, dark-wash denim mini, brown straw cowboy hat – nothing subtle about it.
The halter top is cut close and cropped high, with thin straps and a clean neckline that leaves the shoulders bare. It’s simple, fitted, and bold in color. The denim mini sits low on the hips with a frayed hem, giving it that worn-in finish that works for a race weekend setting.
But here’s where it gets tricky. The brown straw cowboy hat is a statement piece, especially in a VIP suite packed with disco balls and sponsor logos. On one hand, it commits to the theme. On the other, it edges toward costume territory.
Black platform thong sandals keep it casual, almost beach-adjacent, which clashes slightly with the Western direction. I actually think a sturdier boot would’ve tied it together more convincingly.
The lanyard pass hanging down the center reinforces the paddock vibe, but it cuts through the clean line of the top. Sometimes practicality wins.

This falls somewhere between fun and forced. It’s not bad. It’s just one accessory away from being sharper.
Would you keep the cowboy hat, or drop it and let the red top lead?
The hat makes the call.
