At the 2026 Disney Upfronts in New York, Chase Infiniti wore a black and pale-mint floral Alaia gown, and the ruched seam down the front is the real hook.
Notice the ruching first. Chase Infiniti at the Disney Upfronts showed up to the 2026 Disney Upfront presentation in New York City in an Alaia Draped Printed Dress, and the construction is what carries it. A vertical band of gathered stitching runs from just under the bust down through the hip, pulling the jersey in and shaping the waist without any belt or seam doing the work for it.
The print is pale-mint magnolia blossoms scattered across solid black, and the placement isn’t accidental. One large bloom sits across the chest, another lands at the hip exactly where the ruching tightens, and a third trails near the hem. The flowers act like quiet markers along the line of the gown.
Up top, a high mock neckline and cap sleeves keep the front clean so the print and the gathering can carry the visual weight. The fabric has that fluid jersey drape Alaia does so well, hugging through the body and then releasing into a soft column to the floor.
She finished it with Alaia Invisible Jewel Wedge Sandals in Patent Calfskin, an Alaia Le Teckel Small Bag in Goatskin, and House of Harlow 1960 Two-Tone Luna Drop Earrings. Hair is a high curly updo with a few face-framing pieces, makeup dewy with a soft rose lip. Nothing competing.
For her first big The Testaments press run beat, this is a smart red carpet call. Grown-up, considered, and clearly designer without shouting about it.
Back to that ruched seam. It’s the one detail that turns a printed jersey gown into something you actually remember.
